The Main Lodge
Our main lodge was built in 1928 and retains the rustic beauty and warmth of a traditional western lodge. Since 1984 we have continued to make renovations and additions to ensure your comfort during your stay. The main lodge has 7 family - style bedrooms that sleep 2 - 6 people. There are full bathroom facilities on both floors, a large private bathroom on the upper floor and separate men’s and women’s bathrooms on the main level. For your enjoyment and relaxation we have a large hot tub, Wi-Fi internet capabilities, sauna and a spacious indoor lounge with a fireplace and satellite television. The guest capacity for The Main Lodge is 17.

The Raymer Cabin
Perfect for the whole Family! The Raymer Cabin is just a few steps away from the main lodge and boasts 2 private bedrooms with queen beds, 1 large loft room with 2 bunk beds, a large great room with high ceilings, a full bath, coffee maker, refrigerator, microwave and a great common room with windows up to the second floor for capturing the exquisite sunrises and breathtaking views. The guest capacity for The Raymer Cabin is 2-10.

For more privacy we have three one-bedroom cabins boasting large full baths with Jacuzzi tubs, traditional hand lathed pine framed beds, deck with breathtaking views, coffee maker and microwave. Two of the cabins have 1 queen bed and 1 has a double and a single.

The River Cabin
Enjoy The River Cabins privacy while falling asleep to the sounds of running water. The River Cabin is located on the South Fork of the Dearborn River that flows through the ranch. This cabin is equipped with a microwave, sink, refrigerator, coffee maker, and a full bath with a shower. The bedroom has a queen bed with a pullout sleeper sofa in the main room. The Guest capacity for The River Cabin is 1-4.

Dining at the Blacktail
No matter what accommodations you choose to best fit your needs while you relax and enjoy at The Blacktail Ranch, all of our guests feast together in our western style dining room in the main lodge. We offer a fresh, wholesome cuisine serving fresh baked goods daily, organically and locally grown vegetables (some from our own gardens), fresh eggs and our own wild game. Each day begins at your leisure between 8:00-9:30am with a sumptuous breakfast. At midday we provide a delicious lunch in the main lodge for those of you who will be close to home and provide trail lunches and snacks for those who will be out on an adventure for the day. A creative feast awaits hungry guests for dinner in the main lodge between 6:00 -7:00pm. No need to worry about when meals begin at the Blacktail, our “chow time bell” can be heard for miles and is rung at the beginning of each meal!
